Westhampton Select Board and Finance Committee explore deficit solutions after override fails. Following voters' rejection of a Prop 2-1/2 override, Finance Committee Chair Tad Weiss is directing the committees to balance a $389,893 FY2027 deficit through a combination of budget cuts and possible use of reserves. The Finance Committee will identify $150,000 in cuts across town and elementary school budgets.
