Selectboard approves hazard mitigation plan and Complete Streets policy
Select Board · Meeting of May 19, 2026
Westhampton Selectboard backs hazard mitigation update and streetscape funding rules. Chair Susan Bronstein and members Jennifer Milikowsky and Scott Johndrow unanimously approved an amendment to the Hazard Mitigation Plan for submission to the state emergency management agency. The board also voted 2-1 to adopt a Complete Streets Policy, with Johndrow dissenting, allowing the town to pursue grant funding for sidewalk and pedestrian infrastructure improvements without committing to specific projects.
Lee Halasz of Kestral Trust presented an update on the town's Tob Hill and Spruce Hill land acquisition, noting conservation restrictions will be ready for board approval within one month and that the project carries net-zero cost to the town.
