Westhampton Planning Board unanimously denies moto-cross permit at watershed site. The board rejected a Special Permit application for a moto-cross event at 0 Main Road, finding the property sits in a Watershed Overlay Protection District where commercial activity is prohibited under town zoning. The board also unanimously approved an ANR plan for 133 Edwards Road and adopted minutes from three prior meetings spanning regulatory proceedings and bylaw review work.
Chair Jennifer Milikowsky alerted members that state-mandated standards for energy storage systems arrive in the fall, and flagged unresolved inconsistencies between the town's Schedule of Use table and Zoning Bylaws that warrant correction and presentation at a Special Town Meeting in autumn.
