WESTHAMPTON — Finance Committee backs five warrant articles but withholds recommendation on Hampshire Regional High School budget. Chair Tad Weiss and six members unanimously approved Articles 2, 3, and 5, and endorsed the municipal budget (Article 6) 6-0-1. The committee voted unanimously to take no action on Article 7, the regional school budget, citing the school's 9.5 percent year-over-year increase against negative municipal departmental changes and uncertainty over town revenue.
Members also took no action on Articles 8, 9, 10, and 11, and discussed Police Chief Dave White's capital plan with focus on police cruiser replacement costs.
