Westhampton Finance Committee reviews midyear student placement and override strategy. The Select Board authorized a 40,000 dollar midyear out-of-district placement covered through Extraordinary Relief, with no FY27 impact when the student moves to Hampshire Regional High School. The committee approved the WES School Committee's FY27 budget of 2,513,086 dollars, with the town-charged portion at 2,193,873 dollars, level-funded from FY26.
The Select Board deferred consideration of changing the 75/25 insurance contribution split until after the override vote and determined that switching health insurance providers would not yield significant savings.
